The time has come when it has become essential to implify feminism, yes the discrimination yet is rising. With eyes open we shall be able to see clearly that, gender equality has taken an all new aspect inwards itself.
Now let’s just have small talk on feminism, the urge to develop the concept of feminism for the very first time in facet of world, took birth in the 19th and early 20th centuries, when there was an eye on booming legal inequalities, majorly putting light on women’s suffrage, the next period also known as the second wave, 1960s to 1980s was collectively firing the matters as cultural inequalities with respect to women, gender role encompassing a long list of social behaviour and attitudes, generally attributed on the base of persons perceived biological identification or sex and what exactly is signified as the role of women in the society.
Subsequent to that is the third wave feminism, 1900s to 2000s and this refers to the diversifying strains of feminist activity also notified as a continuation to the second wave and retaliation to the recognised failures. After all the continuous wrestle, it was a pleasure to achieve many of the legal achievements but it provided a portal with ongoing entry to the struggles for imposing, fixing and laying the legal achievements within the society.
Little did we know, we were continuously getting busy in mending the society in a way where we were putting a little extra weight towards women and not towards the abstraction of equality.
How? Let us see, a women always have had to move forward and ahead of all, showing they are no level down then men out there, then when in this story, in addition to proving selves we started pulling other sex down.
This domain of equality is very vast but yet taking it on some other path and calling it equality isn’t correct because, this wasn’t the aim anyhow. Ignoring the fact that we are ignoring the male community, that they may feel sorrow or experience inequality has become a daily routine for us. When a girl was being told to have etiquettes of what to do and what not to do, a boy was also told not to cry and learn not to express himself, and from a very little age was made well aware of the fact that he had to take care of his family and earn money when he grows, when a girl was told to take care of the household work and she was asked not to go to the office to work, her wish was grounded, but at the same point a boy was also told to go to an office and not to do any house chores when he wished for the same, he was told it is not a portion of his meal, and there he was also grounded. Whether or whether not, we sheerly may have learned about these facts at some or the other point but we did nothing but ignored it for one side.
With shade to the excess weightage towards women, some of the many women, took their rights for granted and even tend to misuse there extra mass. A number of instances in the previous years have been recorded and have come in LimeLight where, women consolidated men into erroneous situations and circumstances via irrelevant blames, just to carm their personal grudges and we can’t just keep it aside. We have also heard how women were pulled down when, she achieved something and many times not given privilege for what she had done, and she wasn’t supported for her dreams a lot of times, and many even dealt with miserable moments and many were made to put a full stop to their lives as well in many of the cases. Wherein, the boy has also faced a lot of inequalities, as mentioned above, those we always ignored.
Conclusively, it has been several years that we are stuck in an era where the discrimination is going on and on, on the basis of caste, religion, race, biological perceivances etcetera, if anything left yet. It really is not an abstract of equality we are following and definitely we are misleading the definition. We need to re-think and work on making our society equal taking an example from a lot of groups present in our society, who all have been successful in pedestaling equality accurately, irrespective of all the differences present amongst the people living in it, simplifying and flourishing feminism keeping in mind it’s righteous definition.
The motive and objective needs to be equality in quality of life which will go same for all the perspectives.
